After 17 years in healthcare staffing and recruiting, Ian fulfilled a long-held professional aspiration by founding Advantice Search in 2024. His boutique recruiting firm is driven by a passion for supporting Advanced Practice Providers and recognizing the essential role they play in healthcare.

Ian’s journey in healthcare recruitment began in 2008 when he joined one of the largest staffing organizations in the industry. During the 15 years there, he held leadership positions and gained invaluable experience working with a variety of medical specialties, including Oncology, Pathology, Anesthesiology, and Psychiatry. In other roles, Ian worked as a generalist covering all specialties.

At Advantice Search, Ian is committed to creating meaningful, career-defining opportunities for APPs across the country. He understands the unique challenges and goals providers face and has designed the firm to provide a personalized, high-touch experience that prioritizes the careers of these providers.

Ian’s mission for Advantice Search is to blend cutting-edge technology with the personalized service of a boutique firm. By continuously refining the firm’s approach and integrating the latest tools, he ensures that both APPs and healthcare organizations benefit from modern resources combined with thoughtful, individualized attention.

Outside of work, Ian enjoys life in Utah, where he lives with his wife, their four children, and two Goldendoodles. He takes full advantage of Utah’s beautiful landscapes, whether snowboarding in the winter or exploring the mountains and deserts on his motorcycles or mountain bike.
